Shortlisted Nominees:
Amy Honeybun (Weymouth)
- Despite Amy taking on the Life Members secretary role, she has fully supported her friend and colleague, Julia Watson, with the organisation of the annual LR Challenge.
- Amy is always there to help and encourage and often investigates options in her own time.
- Constantly advertised and encouraged participation in national events within her local Weymouth office.
- Helped Julia with any technical/computer requirements.
- Supported Julia through challenging times, particularly as Julia has to organise these events with no local knowledge.
Kerrin Cawley (Birkenhead)
- Kerrin recently made her debut to the football pitch, in our national women's football tournament, the Kerr Cup.
- Before The Kerr Cup, Kerrin had never kicked a ball before, this was her first ever football game and tournament.
- Kerrin not only won the Players Player award, but also scored her first ever goal!
- She was a great team player encouraging her team of unexperienced players to get involved and to go for it.
- Her story is a reminder that every time a woman steps onto the pitch, it counts.
Mike Fletcher (Plymouth)
- Mike is our LR Leisure Diver. But this year at the CSSC National Swimming Competition held in Sheffield he also had to become a swimmer.
- Despite not being a swimmer, Mike volunteered himself to swim 50m sprint so that our team could participate in a relay instead of having to withdraw.
- Mike sacrificed getting home at a reasonable time that evening so that his team could participate in the relay, winning vital points to secure them 4th place in the whole competition.
- Mike swam the 50m amazingly with no goggles as he wasn't confident or sure if they would come off upon diving into the water.
