John Laing was a larger than life character who loved his Rugby, Sports & Social and cider ... and in no particular order.
He played many years for LR Rugby before serving as the National organiser. He held the role of Chair and Treasurer of Gloucester before moving to Plymouth where he once again served in the role of Chair.
John's greatest gift to us, apart from his candour, for which we will always all be eternally grateful, is that he came up with the idea, and played a huge part in introducing the LR Leisure Lottery.
Everything we have achieved and the incredible opportunities we are able to offer are all made available because of the Lottery which was his idea.
